Tips in Caring For Feather Hair Extensions

Here are a few suggestions in taking proper care of your feather hair extensions. The extensions can be brushed, washed, blow dried, straightened and curled and will last anywhere from one to six months. It all depends on how well you take care of them.

After awhile the feather hair extensions begin to blend. Since you can not feel them in the hair they can easily be forgotten about. However, do not forget about them.

Always be aware of the extensions when washing and brushing. Do not brush over the micro-link. You should only brush the feathers themselves.

At the point when the micro-links start to grow with your hair and are not at the root anymore, beware! This is when you need to be extra cautious. Something as simple as a brush or your fingers can easily get stuck and cause a small loop. You do not want that.

If something looks or feels wrong, go back to your salon for a maintenance visit. They can move the locket back to the root where it belongs.

Remember to treat your feathers with lots of love. They are not your real hair and need to be treated a little extra carefully.
